Monday, oh how I dread you sometimes. It must be hard to be the first day after the weekend. You get a lot of complaints. But it’s not your fault you’re first in line. I guess an apology is in order right now. For the groans, complaints and tears shed on your day.
You remind us every week how lovely our weekend was. You give us a reason to get out of bed in the morning. To do the things that make a difference, to earn a living that’ll make it possible to live and enjoy life. You, my beautiful Monday, give us a fresh start every week. And you don’t complain, you don’t groan and you don’t moan about all the people hating you. You, oh very best Monday, are awesome!
I’m sorry I didn’t appreciate you sooner. I was too hung up on the weekend being over to see your beauty and potential. Next time I rush out the door in the morning, I’ll be more thankful for you, my dear Monday. Here’s a toast to you, the day of fresh new beginnings; to Monday!
